Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a skilled Progress 4GL OpenEdge Developer for our Wrocław team focused on regulatory reporting projects in Investment Banking. You will own OpenEdge environments, automate tasks with Bash, and contribute to a stable, secure, and scalable deployment pipeline.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional experience with Progress OpenEdge, Linux (Red Hat), and version control (GitLab or similar). Strong debugging, monitoring and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Proven experience as a Progress 4GL OpenEdge Developer.
• Bash scripting for automation and system management.
• Ability to perform system administration tasks in Progress OpenEdge environment.
• Familiarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, IT networking and performance analysis.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with shell commands, file manipulation and process control.
• Familiarity with GitLab / another version control and deployment tools.
• Understanding of system security and access controls.

Project Description:

Project is related to regulatory reporting for one of Clients from Investment Banking area using OpenEdge (Progress 4GL) technology. There is an exclusive team developing & supporting approx. 25 systems in Securities area using Progress OpenEdge solution. Current OpenEdge team is located in Wrocław.

Mandatory Skills Description:

Overall, 5+ years of professional experience.

• Proven experience as a Progress 4GL OpenEdge Developer.
• Comprehensive skills in Bash scripting for automation and system management.
• Ability to perform system administration tasks related to the Progress 4GL OpenEdge environment
• Familiarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, IT networking and performance analysis.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with shell commands, file manipulation, and process control.
• Familiarity with GitLab / another version control and collaboration and automated deployment tools.
• Understanding of system security and access controls.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience managing and administering Progress 4GL OpenEdge databases.
