Job summary

Luxoft in Wrocław, Poland, is seeking a Progress OpenEdge Developer to support regulatory reporting for a major Investment Banking client within an exclusive OpenEdge team.

The role emphasizes automation, Linux system administration, and scripting with Bash, plus security and deployment tooling. The firm offers internal mobility between projects and locations, plus private medical, dental and life insurance coverage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Proven experience as a Progress 4GL OpenEdge Developer.
• Comprehensive skills in Bash scripting for automation and system management.
• Ability to perform system administration tasks related to the Progress 4GL OpenEdge environment
• Familiarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, IT networking and performance analysis.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with shell commands, file manipulation, and process control.
• Familiarity with GitLab / another version control and collaboration and automated deployment tools.
• Understanding of system security and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation and administration for Progress OpenEdge environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Linux/OpenEdge systems.

Project Description:

Project is related to regulatory reporting for one of Clients from Investment Banking area using OpenEdge (Progress 4GL) technology. There is an exclusive team developing & supporting approx. 25 systems in Securities area using Progress OpenEdge solution. Current OpenEdge team is located in Wrocław.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Overall, 5+ years of professional experience.
• Proven experience as a Progress 4GL OpenEdge Developer.
• Comprehensive skills in Bash scripting for automation and system management.
• Ability to perform system administration tasks related to the Progress 4GL OpenEdge environment
• Familiarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, IT networking and performance analysis.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems.
