Job summary

Alstom in Katowice invites applications for a full-time Program V&V Designer to drive verification strategy and test planning across projects. You will work with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure robust validation activities in rail-centric contexts.

The role emphasizes analytical acumen, coding knowledge, and strong English communication, with opportunities to influence safety demonstrations and continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic EPU environment.

Qualifications

• Good analytical skill is required.
• Understanding and experience in Software coding.
• Knowledge of at least one Alstom platform.
• Knowledge of more than one Alstom platform.
• Product and system background.
• At least 2 years in relevant positions in a highly complex environment.
• Open-minded.
• Problem setting and problem solving.
• Sense of urgency.
• Foreign language: English, full proficient use.
• Writing skills: clarity, rigor, and concision.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the definition of the Program Verification and Validation strategy in the V&V Plan, and act proactively for its implementation.
• Define verification methodology for selected deliverables, when requested in V&V strategy.
• Define test plans and test descriptions for in-house activities.
• Perform and report allocated verification, integration and test activities.
• When Safety is involved, share and justify the results with Safety Assurance Manager to feed the safety demonstration.
• Interface with experts in other department to align on selected V&V activity methodology.
• Represent Alstom in front of customers or partners, for instance to provide overview of test progress, issues, risks and opportunities.
• Specify, procure, develop, setup and configure assets such as testbenches and instrumentation.
• Provide data to maintain applicable KPIs.
• Provide valuable feedback for REX sessions and continuous improvement.
• Manage configuration and change management cycle related with V&V activities (simulation configuration, anomaly tracking etc.).
• In Projects, follow-up with T&C for tests exported to site execution.
