Your Role:
- Drive/ support all assigned SCM activities required to deliver Region’s annual revenue, OI Targets and material performance targets.
- Attain Quality Business Case Requirements of the Product Line - Assure on-going operational excellence of purchased material within product line for the life of the program including quality and delivery (Shared responsibility among PLP team/Supplier Quality/Category Managers).
- Assure execution of supplier assessment and drive supplier development activities in support of the product line needs and global enterprise category team strategies and direction.
- Attain Volume Business Case Requirements of the product line - Execute Purchasing Program Management to achieve flawless launch (BOM cost tracking with actions to meet BOM target, Sourcing, PPAP ~ensuring QCD targets etc.).
- Facilitate the Early Sourcing Plan & Flawless Launch Plan.
- Follow up on deliverables and tracking of Early Sourcing/Strategic Sourcing.
- Escalate potential cost gaps, Material%/Sales, plan and timing misses to Purchasing Program manager and SCM leaders.
- Track programs to achieve Flawless Launch.
- Serve as the central SCM contact to the product line organization for Direct Materials.
- Attain Cost Business Case Requirements of the Product Line - Drive project teams to develop and execute plans to convert all “red” programs related to purchased material to profitability to “green”.
- Support MCIP (Material Cost Improvement Programs) activities - participate in the workshops; suggest alternative components; drive benchmarking; provide pricing data to be able to make cost comparison; ensure compliance with SCM Category strategy; understand cost impact of the initiative to the project.
- Influence SCM Category strategy development to meet the needs of the product line.
- Participate in category planning and execution representing Product line needs
- Provide feedback to category organization to adjust/update category strategies in order to align with Product line business and financial metrics.
- Comply with all corporate, divisional, and SCM policies and procedures.
- Trigger supplier escalation process – Purchasing Program leader is first level of escalation.
Your Background:
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar qualification.
- Min. 5 years automotive business experience in Purchasing, Program Management and/or Advanced Quality Planning. (Experience with Automotive supplier would be preferred.)
- Ability to manage supplier relationships with absolutes of ethics and integrity, and experience in working “up front” with suppliers to ensure superior material performance.
- Proficiency in business finance to support business decisions.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and presentation & good negotiation skills + problem solving skills.
- Interested in understanding technical challenges and eager to learn.
- Excellent computer skills with MS Office programs.
- Strong proficiency in English.
- Ability to work and communicate with different cultures.
- Willingness to Travel.
