Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior MES technical authority to lead GE Proficy Plant Applications across international manufacturing sites. You will configure, deploy, and support the suite, promote configuration-based solutions, and reduce technical debt.

You will validate architectures, lead root-cause analyses, mentor teams during deployments, and ensure data flow between MES, PLC, SCADA, Historian, and SAP. Travel 25–40% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in MES with extensive hands-on GE Proficy Plant Applications.
• Strong experience with Proficy Historian, CIMPLICITY, and SAP integration across multi-site environments.
• Proven PLC/SCADA and OPC UA integration and validation of automation interfaces.
• Advanced SQL Server troubleshooting within MES contexts.
• Knowledge of ISA-95/ISA-88 and their manufacturing applications.
• Experience performing root-cause analysis for production incidents.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-site collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally (25–40%).

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for GE Proficy MES and align with global MES standards.
• Configure, deploy, and support GE Proficy across international sites.
• Develop reusable MES templates to reduce technical debt.
• Validate architectures, integrations, and performance before go-live.
• Conduct plant readiness assessments including SAP integration.
• Validate MES/PLC/SCADA/Historian/SAP data interoperability.
• Lead root cause analysis and troubleshoot MES, DB, interfaces, and performance issues.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring during deployments and hypercare.
