We are looking for a Product Owner to own the direction anddelivery of products built on a distributed, multi-service architecture. Youwill sit at the intersection of business goals and technical execution,translating strategy into a clear, sequenced backlog that a softwareengineering team can build with confidence. This role suits someone who ishighly logical, detail-oriented, and comfortable reasoning about complexsystems where many moving parts depend on each other.
What You'll Do
- Ownand prioritize the product backlog, turning business objectives intowell-defined, actionable requirements.
- Analyzea multi-microservice environment independently: map how services interact,identify gaps, surface hidden dependencies, and plan work so that features aresequenced in the right order.
- Break down large initiatives into deliverableincrements, accounting for cross-service dependencies and technicalconstraints.
- Partner closely with engineering, drawing onyour own technical understanding to have credible, precise conversations abouttrade-offs, feasibility, and risk.
- Defineacceptance criteria and validate that delivered work meets both the businessintent and the technical requirements.
- Communicateclearly and consistently with technical and non-technical stakeholders, keepingeveryone aligned on scope, priorities, and progress.
- Use data and quantitative reasoning to informprioritization, measure outcomes, and support decisions.
Core Skills & Abilities
- Systems analysis in a distributed environment. Ability to independently analyze amulti-microservice architecture, identify gaps and dependencies, and producesound, well-sequenced plans.
- Technical fluency. Enough technical knowledge and understanding to communicate effectivelywith the engineering team, understand system design, and reason aboutdependencies and constraints.
- Logical and detail-oriented. A rigorous, structured thinker who catchesedge cases, keeps track of details, and reasons through problems methodically.
- Quantitativeaptitude. A financial and/or mathematical background, comfortable workingwith numbers, models, and data to drive decisions.
- Strong communication. Clear, precise, and collaborative when working with both technicalteams and business stakeholders.
- Toolingand backlog hygiene. Mastery of widely used software development tools suchas Jira/Confluence (or similar) and strong backlog hygiene practices(refinement, prioritization, definition of ready/done).
Requirements
- 3+years experience working within a software development organization (required).
- Demonstratedability to analyze complex, service-based systems and plan delivery aroundtheir dependencies.
- A financial, mathematical, or otherwisequantitative background.
- Strong logical reasoning and attention todetail.
- Experience with API-driven, distributedplatforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communicationskills.
- AI fluency is required. Demonstratedwillingness and ability to engage with AI tooling effectively across therole—from requirements validation and analysis through decomposition anduse-case coverage—while applying sound judgment to its outputs.

- Prior experience as a Product Owner or ProductManager on technical products.
