Overview

We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the evolution of Automate Core, the foundational engine powering Automate and the broader Content Innovation Cloud (CIC) ecosystem. You will drive the strategy for core non-functional platform services - empowering internal engineering teams while enabling enterprise outcomes like predictable workflow execution, multi-tenant scale, and secure operations. This is a highly technical role designed for an experienced PM who thrives in complex, cloud-native environments.

Your Role Responsibilities — Here’s What You’ll Do

Platform Strategy & Roadmap: Define the vision and build an outcome-driven roadmap for Automate Core. Prioritize investments based on strategic pillars: enterprise-grade reliability, scalable multi-tenancy, security by design, and cost efficiency.

Internal Customer Champion: Act as the primary PM for internal engineering teams and platform consumers. Continuously discover and validate problems, balancing immediate consumer needs against long-term platform evolution using evidence, telemetry, and feedback.

Technical Collaboration: Operate effectively within the Product Manager (PM), Engineering Manager (EM), and Delivery Manager (DM) triad. Partner deeply with Architecture to define core standards, ensuring reusability, clean contracts between components, and long-term system resilience.

Enterprise Outcomes: Drive features that build customer trust, including evergreen automation (safe upgrades and backward compatibility) and customer-controlled data architectures (data sovereignty, residency, and encryption).

Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate across multiple stakeholders and time zones (EU/US) to ensure roadmap alignment with the broader CIC strategy.

Role Essentials
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven Expertise: 3-5 years of experience as a Product Manager in complex environments.
  • Delivery Track Record: Demonstrated success delivering robust platform or core system capabilities from ideation to launch.
  • User-Centric Focus: Deep empathy for the core platform user, specifically designing intuitive, reliable experiences for Business Analysts who build, orchestrate, and manage workflows within the system.
  • Strategic Autonomy & Leadership: Exceptional ability to operate independently, bridge inbound and outbound PM responsibilities, and maintain a strong pulse on market expectations for internally focused products.

Technical Background (Required)

  • Domain Exposure: Solid experience with distributed systems, multi-tenant SaaS environments, security and compliance standards, and application deployment or subscription models.
  • Technical Partnership: High proficiency in partnering closely with engineering and architecture teams to solve complex problems.

Platform Thinking

  • Shared Services & System Design: Hands‑on experience building or scaling shared services. Strong understanding of core system trade‑offs to ensure the platform remains scalable and performant.
