Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Kraków is seeking a Manager Core Product Control to oversee daily and monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring correct accounting and valuation of trading portfolios. The role blends people management with hands-on control processes and close partnership with Front Office and IT.

You will lead month-end close, present movements to senior stakeholders, drive process improvements through automation, and coach junior colleagues.

Qualifications

University degree in finance or economics or a quantitative discipline.
Proven experience in Product Control or similar role in financial markets.
Strong knowledge of pricing, valuation, P/L analysis and accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily P&L production for Global Markets trading desks with Front Office collaboration.
Verify P&L attribution across market effects, new trades, time effects, and pricing components.
Produce analysis and commentary on daily trading revenues and key drivers.
Perform monthly P&L to GL balance comparisons and explain variations.
Oversee month-end GL close and balance sheet substantiation for trading and non-trading activities.
Present P&L and balance sheet movements to senior management and stakeholders.
Identify anomalies and potential risks or fraud; escalate appropriately.
Drive process improvements and automation; coach junior colleagues.
