Qualifications

• Understanding of financial markets, products traded, lifecycle, accounting principles and valuation
• Strong analytical ability to investigate issues and resolve them
• Clear English communication with stakeholders
• Experience in Product Control or Valuation Control for P&L and Balance Sheet validation
• Proficient in Excel for analysis and reporting
• Awareness of finance and risk policies and market developments
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and maintain controls

Responsibilities

• Produce daily and monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations and reporting
• Review P&L components: new trade, market environment, carry, cancel/amend
• Prepare VaR and non-VaR P&L attribution for back-testing
• Upload results for management review with clear commentary
• Identify and resolve production issues with Product Control teams
• Perform basic Balance Sheet analysis to support accurate books
• Communicate with stakeholders across Product Control and related functions
• Support automation of manual processes to improve productivity
