Nexteer Automotive in Poland is seeking a Product Application Sensor Engineer to design and develop torque and motor position sensors and related components.

You will collaborate with the PDT to define requirements, create drawings, lead DFMEA/DSS, and support DV/PV tests, while assisting APQP with suppliers. Strong problem-solving, GD&T knowledge, and team collaboration are essential. Private healthcare and additional benefits available.

Formación

• Engineer degree in electronics/electrical/mechatronics or similar specialization.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Problem-solving techniques and analytical abilities.
• Familiarity with GD&T and drawing standards (ASME/ISO).
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently and with others.
• Understanding of mechanical tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience in design and manufacture of plastic components and wire harness assemblies.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuit design and PCB/PCBA manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

Position: PRODUCT APPLICATION SENSOR ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

• Designs and develops sensors – torque and motor position and related components (harness, connectors, housing)
• Participation with the PDT (Profit Delivery Team) for the specific applications to discuss the requirements for component, timing and risks
• Create and maintain product drawings, specifications and bill of materials utilizing Nexteer processes
• DFMEA/DSS lead for given subcomponents
• Support DV/PV testing including root cause analysis for failed tests
• Provide preventive and corrective actions for issues related with torque sensor assembly
• Support APQP processes at suppliers site
• Assist in maintaining cost controls, cost saving ideas

Requirements:

• Engineer degree in electronics/electrical/mechatronics or similar specialization
• Min. 2 years of experience at the similar position
• Problem-solving techniques and analytical abilities
• Familiarity with GD&T and drawing standards (ASME/ISO)
• Communication skills and demonstrated ability to work both independently and with others
• Understanding of mechanical tolerance stack-up analysis

Nice to have:

• Understanding of IPC standards including IPC A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC-2221 and IPC-2222
• Familiarity with automotive product development processes and project management will be additional asset
• Knowledge of IATF 16949
