Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans is expanding its battery-electric LCV production capacity and is building a new plant in Jawor, Poland. We are seeking a Process Engineer for the Paint Shop (expat possible) to plan and specify the paint shop processes and systems as part of the project.

You will lead work packages, coordinate with internal and external parties, drive standardization across sites, and ensure projects meet cost, time and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering, production technology, industrial engineering, automation or similar.
• Several years of experience in production planning or paint shop systems planning.
• Practical experience in project management.
• Analytical and strategic mindset with results focus.
• Strong teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration; good problem-solving.
• Proficiency with MS Office and German/English languages.

Responsibilities

• Plan and establish the new production facility for the hybrid/VAN.EA project.
• Lead work packages and manage sub-projects with stakeholders.
• Implement innovative production processes for new model series.
• Harmonize processes between VAN sites.
• Submit progress reports to project/team manager.
• Coordinate cross-department communication to ensure execution.
• Prepare project assignments and steer projects within costs and deadlines.
• Work with vehicle development, series preparation and production units.
• Conduct acceptance testing of production systems per regulations.
