Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Group AG in Jawor is seeking a Process Engineer for the Body Shop to plan and establish the new production system for the VAN.EA project. You will plan bodyshop processes and production lines as part of the project team, and manage sub‑projects with stakeholders.

The role requires a university degree in engineering, several years in production planning or process technology, and strong project management, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills in a multilingual environment.

Qualifications

  • University Degree in mechanical engineering, production technology, industrial engineering or similar education
  • Several years of professional experience specifically in production planning or body shop systems planning or process technology
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Ability to think and act analytically and strategically, with a focus on achieving results and meeting targets
  • Ability to work as part of a team and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration in addition to excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think and act like an entrepreneur as well as openness to change processes
  • Good IT skills, especially in CAD software and Microsoft Office
  • Languages: fluent Polish, English and wherever applicable German

Responsibilities

  • Work on planning and establishing the new production system for the VAN.EA vehicle project.
  • Planning of bodyshop processes and production lines for the facility in Jawor as part of our project team.
  • Take on a work package (production line / specific processes) and manage (sub-) projects with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Design, implement and ramp-up innovative production processes for the new vehicle series.
  • Preliminary and detailed planning of production technologies, complex technical equipment and work processes.
  • Submit regular status reports on progress achieved to project/team manager.
  • Support planning team during construction, equipment installation, ramp up, analyze bottle-necks, create countermeasures and implement optimizations to ensure an efficient ramp up.
  • Perform oversight of contracted suppliers, identify deviations and ensure overall project timeline
  • Conduction of interdisciplinary workshops with various departments
  • Manage your subproject while ensuring project targets / objectives are met (such as costs, time, quality).
  • Work with the vehicle development, series preparation and production units.
  • Independently prepare and perform acceptance inspections /buyoffs of equipment and procedures related to the production systems in accordance with applicable legal and corporate regulations

Mercedes-Benz Vans is a successful manufacturer of premium light commercial vehicles (LCV) for customers and markets worldwide. Our purpose is “to move transportation to the next level” and to define the LCV business of the future: focused on sustainability, connectivity and digital solutions. We have decided to expand our battery‑electric LCV production capacity and implement an entirely new plant next to our existing Mercedes-Benz production facility in Jawor.
