Job description

We are looking for a Privacy Counsel to join our global legal team supporting the EMEA business. This is a hands‑on operationally focused role delivering pragmatic advice on privacy and data protection across the region.

You will play a key role in delivering the core privacy operations across the region, working closely with product, engineering, security, and commercial teams.

What you’ll do
  • Advise on compliance with GDPR and broader EMEA data protection laws
  • Support key privacy activities including data mapping, data retention, DPIAs/PIAs, and international data transfers (including SCCs)
  • Draft, review, and negotiate DPAs and privacy clauses in customer and vendor agreements
  • Embed privacy by design into products and business processes in collaboration with cross‑functional teams
  • Conduct privacy risk assessments and support data incident assessment and remediation
  • Manage and coordinate data subject requests (DSARs) and advise on e‑privacy and marketing compliance
  • Monitor legal developments and deliver practical guidance and training to stakeholders
  • Support M&A and post‑acquisition integration from a privacy perspective
  • Represent the company in privacy matters requiring EMEA presence, including customer escalations and engagement with EU data protection authorities
What we’re looking for
  • 2‑4 years of post‑qualification experience in privacy/data protection law
  • Strong expertise in GDPR and EMEA privacy frameworks
  • Experience advising in a multi‑jurisdictional or global organization
You bring hands‑on experience in:
  • DPIAs/PIAs and privacy risk assessments
  • DSARs and data subject rights
  • Data retention and lifecycle queries
  • International data transfers (e.g. SCCs)
  • Handling or supporting data security incidents
And you are:
  • Pragmatic and business‑oriented in your advice
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced SaaS or tech environment
  • Able to collaborate across functions and regions
  • Self‑driven, with the ability to manage workload independently
Nice to have
  • IAPP certification (e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM, AIGP)
  • Interest in or familiarity with AI governance and emerging EU AI regulation — this is not an AI‑focused role, but you may occasionally support AI‑related privacy questions as they arise.
  • Experience with privacy tools (e.g. OneTrust or similar)
  • Work on cutting‑edge privacy and AI topics in a global organisation
  • Be part of a collaborative, international legal team
  • Take ownership of meaningful work with real business impact
  • Grow your expertise at the intersection of privacy, technology, and AI
  • We offer comprehensive benefits package: employment contract, private medical care, Multisport card, and group life insurance.
  • Work model: hybrid (4 days per week in the Wroclaw office) for candidates living in Wroclaw and surrounding areas, or fully remote for candidates based in other locations.
