Job summary

Topsoe is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer for Global Service to support strategically important customers in global regions, with focus on high‑value partnerships. You will troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, contribute to sales activities, and deepen knowledge of Topsoe designs and catalysts.

The role requires extensive collaboration across Global Service, R&D, TPMs, and regional offices, plus a willingness to travel about 60–80 days per year to customer sites worldwide.

Qualifications

• Strong background in mechanical engineering, preferable with chemical/petrochemical experience.
• Familiarity with corrosion, materials and mechanical design standards.
• Knowledge of Topsoe technologies and petrochemical equipment is beneficial.
• Excellent presentation and technical report writing skills.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA and HAZOP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support strategically important customers globally, focusing on high‑value accounts.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and ensure timely resolutions.
• Input technical knowledge to sales teams and participate in sales activities.
• Collaborate with Global Service, R&D, TPMs and regional offices to share knowledge.
