Job summary

Topsoe is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer for Global Service to support strategically important customers around the world. In this role you will troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, contribute to sales discussions, and deepen knowledge of Topsoe's equipment and processes.

You will collaborate with process specialists, TPMs, Global Service and R&D, travel 60–80 days per year, and help drive continuous improvement in mechanical service offerings while representing Topsoe at customer

Qualifications

• Strong background in mechanical engineering with hands-on experience in chemical or petrochemical industries.
• Proficient in project and technical documentation.
• Familiar with industry standards related to corrosion, materials, and mechanical design.
• Advanced knowledge of petrochemical equipment and Topsoe technologies.
• Excellent presentation and technical report writing skills.
• Experience with RCA, FMEA and HAZOP is advantageous.
• Knowledge of petrochemical damage mechanisms.
• Understanding of catalyst-based processes and Topsoe technologies is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel approximately 60–80 days per year.

Responsibilities

• Support strategically important customers globally, focusing on selected regions and key accounts.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical cases and resolve technical challenges.
• Provide technical input to sales teams and participate in relevant sales activities.
• Build and maintain knowledge of Topsoe's design principles, technologies, and performance for stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain and execute related services as a technical sparring partner for the organization.
• Ensure knowledge-sharing across the organization with Global Service and R&D teams.
