The Opportunity Principal Embedded C/C++ Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing software that runs on embedded systems with constrained resources such as microcontrollers, real-time processors, and custom hardware platforms. The role combines strong C/C++ expertise with deep understanding of hardware, real-time constraints, low-level debugging, and system integration.

How you’ll make impact

• Design, implement, and maintain embedded software using modern C/C++
• Develop firmware for microcontrollers, embedded Linux systems, or RTOS-based platforms
• Perform debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD tools, and software debuggers
• Write robust, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards
• Integrate with real-time operating systems or bare-metal environments
• Work closely with hardware engineers to understand schematics, interfaces, and constraints

Your background

• Solid understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, memory models, and low-level programming concepts demonstrated through at least 10 years of professional experience in embedded software development
• Experience with openWRT
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Strong debugging skills across hardware and software layers
• Knowledge of build systems and toolchains
• Ownership mentality and focus on quality and reliability
• Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash)
