Anomaly Detection & Pattern Analysis: Large Dataset Analysis, Data Analysis, Databricks, DataWarehousing & ETLConcepts, DBT, Pipeline Execution/ETL, SQL

The Client is one of the major banks in the UK. This project is a strategic initiative to migrate legacy data infrastructure, including approximately 500 BTEQ scripts and 1,100 tables, to a modern cloud environment. GlobalLogic is establishing a dedicated Features Team to partner with the Client’s engineering leadership. Our team will focus on replatforming business logic, updating data pipelines and repointing SAS dependencies.

We are looking for a mature Analytics Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with analytical and problem-solving skills and who can independently investigate complex issues, identify root causes and propose effective solutions.

Requirements

Thisrole requires a combination of technical expertise and analytical skills.

• Deep knowledge of DBT and/or Databricks to investigate complex data issues, identify root causes and understand impacts across the data supply chain.
• The ability to lead and drive data analysis and investigations across multiple teams, challenge assumptions, coordinate troubleshooting efforts and bring stakeholders together to agree and deliver effective solutions.
• Analytical thinking and technical problem-solving with strong communication, influencing and collaboration skills.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT and data transformation processes.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Job responsibilities

• Lead complex data investigations and root-cause analysis across the end-to-end data supply chain using DBT/ Databricks, SQL and relational databases.
• Drive cross-functional troubleshooting efforts, coordinating multiple teams to identify impacts, resolve issues and deliver sustainable solutions.
• Own the analysis of complex data flows, ETL/ELT processes and data transformations, ensuring data quality, integrity and reliability.
• Challenge assumptions and translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.
• Influence stakeholders and facilitate alignment on priorities, root causes, remediation strategies and delivery plans.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively identify data risks, dependencies and downstream impacts.
• Communicate complex data and technical issues effectively
• Drive continuous improvement in data processes, controls and investigation practices to prevent recurring issues and improve overall data reliability.
