GlobalLogic in Kraków is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join a strategic data migration project for a major UK bank. You will investigate complex data issues, lead cross-team analyses, and drive reliable ETL/ELT transformations across the data supply chain.

You will work with DBT and Databricks, apply strong SQL, and communicate findings to stakeholders, ensuring data quality and proactive risk management.

Qualificações

• Deep knowledge of DBT and/or Databricks to investigate data issues.
• Ability to lead cross-functional data analysis and investigations across multiple teams.
• Analytical thinking and strong communication, collaboration skills.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT and data transformation processes.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead complex data investigations and root-cause analysis across the end-to-end data supply chain using DBT/ Databricks, SQL and relational databases.
• Drive cross-functional troubleshooting efforts, coordinating multiple teams to identify impacts, resolve issues and deliver sustainable solutions.
• Own the analysis of complex data flows, ETL/ELT processes and data transformations, ensuring data quality, integrity and reliability.
• Challenge assumptions and translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.
• Influence stakeholders and facilitate alignment on priorities, root causes, remediation strategies and delivery plans.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively identify data risks, dependencies and downstream impacts.
• Communicate complex data and technical issues effectively
• Drive continuous improvement in data processes, controls and investigation practices to prevent recurring issues and improve overall data reliability.

Description The Client is one of the major banks in the UK. This project is a strategic initiative to migrate legacy data infrastructure, including approximately 500 BTEQ scripts and 1,100 tables, to a modern cloud environment. GlobalLogic is establishing a dedicated Features Team to partner with the Client’s engineering leadership. Our team will focus on replatforming business logic, updating data pipelines and repointing SAS dependencies.

We are looking for a mature Analytics Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with analytical and problem-solving skills and who can independently investigate complex issues, identify root causes and propose effective solutions.

Requirements This role requires a combination of technical expertise and analytical skills.

• Deep knowledge of DBT and/or Databricks to investigate complex data issues, identify root causes and understand impacts across the data supply chain.
• The ability to lead and drive data analysis and investigations across multiple teams, challenge assumptions, coordinate troubleshooting efforts and bring stakeholders together to agree and deliver effective solutions.
• Analytical thinking and technical problem-solving with strong communication, influencing and collaboration skills.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT and data transformation processes.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
