Roche in Warsaw seeks a Principal Test Automation Engineer (AI-first) to own quality engineering strategy and automation for a greenfield prenatal screening product, a regulated clinical diagnostic solution.

You will shape testing standards, implement AI-assisted coverage, and integrate tests into CI/CD with Docker/Testcontainers, ensuring traceability and compliance within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of testing strategy designs (test pyramid, shift-left, test isolation, parametrisation).
• Hands-on with scalable testing frameworks for E2E and integration.
• Proven experience with OO languages (Java, TypeScript); multiple languages are an asset.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation tooling.
• Experience with API testing (REST, contract validation).
• Fluency in English for collaboration and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design a risk-based, layered testing strategy across unit, integration, API, and E2E tests.
• Leverage AI tooling for agentic test generation and coverage analysis.
• Shift manual testing effort toward intelligent automation.
• Define and enforce testing standards and patterns across the portfolio.
• Bootstrap Playwright patterns and reference implementations for teams.
