Job summary

Zoolatech is building a modern self-service data platform to empower analytics across teams. You will design, develop, and maintain the secure, scalable Power BI environment, driving governance, automation, and rapid delivery of insights.

As a Power BI Platform Engineer, you will own IaC, CI/CD pipelines, data connectivity, and observability, collaborating with data and engineering teams to scale the platform while maintaining compliance and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering, BI platform administration, or DevOps (4–8 years).
• Degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience scaling enterprise Power BI environments, including administration, governance, and automation.
• Strong Power BI architecture knowledge: workspaces, capacities, gateways, dataflows, pipelines.
• Infra as Code experience with Terraform and Bicep.
• DevOps practices: CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and release management.
• Cloud data systems knowledge: Azure Synapse, Databricks, Delta Lake, SQL/NoSQL.
• Security and compliance awareness: RBAC, data masking, GDPR awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of the Power BI platform.
• Implement IaC for Power BI and Azure services using Terraform and Bicep.
• Automate provisioning, access control, and policy enforcement.
• Define and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Power BI artifacts.
• Establish monitoring and observability for Power BI usage, performance, and data lineage.
• Collaborate with data platform and engineering teams to integrate Power BI with data infrastructure.
• Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis; set and maintain SLOs/SLIs.
• Influence platform roadmap and cross-functional initiatives through technical leadership.
