Job summary

IQVIA's Data Office seeks a Data Platform Architect to join a dedicated three-person team supporting the Data Platform Architecture Pillar in Warsaw. You will drive deployment patterns, governance, and platform reliability across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with platform engineering and management, reduce friction in deploying data platforms, and help implement standardized templates and automation for scalable, secure, high-availability architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in data platform engineering, architecture, or operations.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and data architecture patterns.
• Experience deploying, supporting, and operating scalable, secure, high-availability data platforms.
• Excellent documentation and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with scripting, automation tools, and infrastructure-as-code technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and platform monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the Data Platform Architecture Pillar by operationalizing platform strategies and architectural patterns.
• Organize and facilitate activities in the Center of Excellence for data platforms as a subject matter expert.
• Identify friction points in deployment and operations and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with platform engineering and management to align solutions with requirements.
• Contribute to the development of deployment frameworks, automation scripts, and playbooks.
• Monitor platform performance and provide guidance on operational best practices.
• Document, share, and promote standards and reusable assets from the CoE.
• Assist in evaluating new data platform technologies and services.
• Provide training and support to platform users and stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement by collecting feedback and refining processes.
