Job summary

Sigma AI is seeking a freelance linguist to support AI data projects from a remote location. You will categorize, annotate, transcribe, and evaluate linguistic data with a focus on Polish and English accuracy.

Applicants should hold a relevant degree and demonstrate strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with linguistic data annotation or LLM training. This role is remote and contract-based for freelancers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpretation Linguist or equivalent is required.
• Native or near-native Polish proficiency and fluent English are required.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills are essential.
• Computer literacy and high attention to detail are necessary.
• Experience with linguistic data annotation or LLM training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Categorize data for AI training and evaluation.
• Annotate linguistic content across audio, video, images, and text.
• Correct and refine transcripts and labels.
• Transcribe audio and participate in evaluation tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpretation Linguist with native or near-native proficiency in Polish
• Fluent in English with the ability to accurately listen and write with excellent spelling and attention to detail
• Solid command of linguistic theory, grammar, and language structure
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
• Computer literacy
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with one or more of the following: computational linguistics, corpus analysis, language data annotation, or LLM training
