Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Polish Accounting Standards.
• Good understanding of US GAAP would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley Act and internal control concepts.
• Familiarity with SAP, JDE 9.2, and Hyperion.
• Fluent English and Polish.
• Professional accounting certification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA) would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting activities for Polish entities, including ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
• Independently prepare annual Polish statutory financial statements.
• Own accounting and reporting for assigned Polish set of books.
• Maintain understanding of financial reporting and GL structure.
• Ensure documentation for balances and transactions for audits.
• Coordinate statutory audit process and respond to requests.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting queries and implement improvement plans.
• Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end closes for Polish entities.
• Oversee compliance of statutory and corporate reporting deliverables.
• Own risk and control matrices and ensure SOX 404 compliance.
