Job summary

Karo Healthcare in Warsaw seeks a Finance professional to own end-to-end Polish accounting, tax and statutory reporting. You will lead audits, establish scalable in-house processes, and work with our Finance Centre of Excellence across Poland, Germany, Lithuania and beyond.

You will drive improvements in control, reporting accuracy and efficiency while ensuring compliance with Polish regulations and IFRS bridging.

Qualifications

University degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
Six-plus years of experience in financial control or accounting with full ownership of statutory reporting for Polish entities.

Responsibilities

Take end-to-end ownership of the month-end, quarter-end and annual close for the Polish entity.
Own the P&L and balance sheet review, including fluctuation analysis and reconciliations.
Prepare and file statutory financial statements under the Polish Accounting Act and bridge to IFRS group reporting.
Own Polish tax and VAT compliance, including CIT, VAT-UE, JPK_V7, KSeF administration.
Lead statutory, tax and VAT audits from start to finish with auditors.
Lead the transition of accounting from external provider to a Finance Centre of Excellence.
Review transfer pricing documentation and intercompany settlements.
Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and country-specific reconciliations.
Own the fixed asset register and payment approvals, ensuring strong financial control.
Oversee payroll-related settlements with external payroll provider.
Own statutory and statistical reporting to KRS, CRBR, GUS and NBP.
Strengthen internal controls and risk mitigation across the Polish entity.
Collaborate with cross-country stakeholders to drive improvements.
