Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Kraków is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer to support health, reliability, security and performance of enterprise infrastructure platforms, including Windows Server, virtualization, storage, backup and Active Directory.

In a Plan-Build-Run model you will perform incident resolution, platform maintenance, monitoring and approved change execution, following ITIL practices and contributing to automation, security, resiliency and service reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT discipline required.
• 2+ years IT infrastructure experience in Windows Server, AD, virtualization, or related enterprise environments.
• Hands-on ServiceNow incident/change/request management.
• Certifications in Windows Server, VMware, or related fields are preferred.
• Familiarity with security, patching, and disaster recovery best practices.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.

Responsibilities

• Operational Support & Service Reliability
• Monitor platform availability, health, performance, and capacity, identifying trends and recommending actions to improve service reliability and resiliency.
• Address incident, request, and change tickets through ServiceNow, ensuring adherence to ITIL processes, service-level commitments, and operational standards.
• Perform system maintenance, patching, backup validation, disaster recovery readiness activities, and operational support tasks.
• Investigate and resolve operational alerts, service degradations, and infrastructure events while escalating issues.
• Implement vulnerability remediation, system hardening, patch compliance, and platform security activities.
• Analyze platform health, use, and operational trends to improve stability, performance, and service availability.
