Job summary

Sensor Tower is seeking a Platform Engineer to improve the infrastructure, developer tooling, and delivery workflows used by more than 100 engineers. The role blends infrastructure and software development with a 65/35 split, focusing on cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, observability, CI/CD, and internal tooling.

You’ll build internal tools, optimize CI/CD pipelines, enhance test infrastructure, and improve observability with OpenTelemetry, ELK, and Grafana.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining complex CI/CD workflows.
• Software development experience building internal tools, APIs, or automation.
• Experience with AWS or another cloud provider.
• Telemetry and monitoring experience (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Kibana).
• Strong Computer Science and System Design fundamentals.
• Willingness to learn and use Ruby and/or Go.

Responsibilities

• Improve developer experience by building tools and workflows for development, testing, and shipping software.
• Maintain infrastructure automation with Ansible, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
• Improve the reliability and performance of CI/CD workflows.
• Diagnose slow builds, failing pipelines, and flaky tests.
• Develop internal tools and improve test infrastructure; sometimes work on product features.
• Improve observability across infrastructure and delivery workflows using OpenTelemetry, ELK.
• Leverage AI to improve engineering workflows and tooling.
