Job summary

Sensor Tower is seeking a Platform Engineer to improve the infrastructure, developer tooling, and delivery workflows used by more than 100 engineers. The role blends infrastructure and software development with a 65/35 split, focusing on cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, observability, CI/CD, and internal tooling.

You’ll build internal tools, optimize CI/CD pipelines, enhance test infrastructure, and improve observability with OpenTelemetry, ELK, and Grafana.

Qualifications

Experience developing and maintaining complex CI/CD workflows.
Software development experience building internal tools, APIs, or automation.
Experience with AWS or another cloud provider.
Telemetry and monitoring experience (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Kibana).
Strong Computer Science and System Design fundamentals.
Willingness to learn and use Ruby and/or Go.

Responsibilities

Improve developer experience by building tools and workflows for development, testing, and shipping software.
Maintain infrastructure automation with Ansible, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
Improve the reliability and performance of CI/CD workflows.
Diagnose slow builds, failing pipelines, and flaky tests.
Develop internal tools and improve test infrastructure; sometimes work on product features.
Improve observability across infrastructure and delivery workflows using OpenTelemetry, ELK.
Leverage AI to improve engineering workflows and tooling.
