Job summary

Batgroup is hiring a PHP Developer to join the engineering team in Warsaw on a hybrid basis. You will design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services used by Batmaid and PFA, collaborating with product, data, and operations to deliver scalable, reliable software.

You will work with AI-assisted development while maintaining clean architecture and high-quality code, mentoring others, and contributing to architectural decisions that raise the team's engineering bar.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience building applications in PHP
• Ability to write clear, understandable, maintainable code
• Confidence writing tests across the stack: unit, integration, and end-to-end
• Strong knowledge of and experience in Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Grounding in SOLID principles, object-oriented programming, and Git
• Working knowledge of Symfony
• Very good command of English (our working language)

The Role

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join our engineering team in Warsaw (hybrid) and help build the platforms and backend services at the heart of Batmaid and PFA. You will design, develop, test, and maintain the web applications and services our customers and cleaning teams rely on every day, working closely with product, data, and operations to ship solutions that are scalable, reliable, and a pleasure to use.

What you will do

What we are looking for

• Confidence writing tests across the stack: unit, integration, and end-to-end
• Strong knowledge of and experience in Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• A good grounding in SOLID principles, object-oriented programming, and Git
• Working knowledge of Symfony
• Very good command of English (our working language)

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems and microservice design
• Familiarity with CQRS or similar architectural patterns
• Experience designing and building REST APIs
