Job summary

Ericsson Krakow R&D unit is expanding the Portal development team for Packet Core core network projects. You will build Portal components and tools, maintain a large database of development flow data, and automate CI/CD processes across the development lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on coding in PHP, Python, and shell scripts, with Linux expertise and API experience. On-site three days a week in Krakow, joining a diverse team focused on modern cloud-native workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
• Familiar with Web development technology; Drupal platform knowledge preferred
• Strong scripting in PHP, Python, and shell scripts
• Experience with web security (SSL, HTTP, HTTPS, Certificates)
• MySQL and database design experience
• Linux/Unix proficiency and build systems
• Experience with API-based systems and CI/CD tools
• Proficient with Git/Gerrit/GitLab
• Knowledge of ALM systems and requirement management
• Excellent analytical and English communication skills

Core network engineering, which is an integral part of BCSS, is expanding in our Krakow R&D unit to further contribute to the evolution of 5G core network products.

To support and enable service providers with their transition from to cloud native software and automated operations, we are looking for a Developer to join our Portal development team.

Role is based in Krakow, 3 days in office is required.

You will be responsible

• This is a developer role for Packet Core Portal development: developing Portal and relevant tools for Packet Core development flow
• Maintain and usage of large database storing development flow information
• Continuous Integration with improvement, and maintenance.
• Monitoring and supporting the operation of Poral during the development flow.
• The setup, maintenance and user education for Portal products
• We are focusing on automation of our workflows to become more efficient and get an easy-to-use environment.

Qualifications and skills you will need:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field or equivalent experience
• Familiar with Web developing technology, Drupal platform knowledge and experience is preferred
• Good scripting experience in PHP, Python and shell scripts
• Internet protocol and security (SSL, HTTP, HTTPS, Certificates)
• Database schema design and usage, MySQL experience is preferrence
• Good experience in Linux/Unix systems, as well as the compiling and build system
• Knowledge and development experience of API based system
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration system (Jenkins, Spinnaker, Mason2, Ansible) structure and usage
• Good knowledge of version control systems, such as Git/Gerrit/Gitlab,
• Familiar with Application Lifecycle Management system, like requirement management, TR/CR management system etc
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Additional skills that you may have:

• Knowledge of the development programming languages, Java, Node.js, C++, XML
• Knowledge of Free Open-Source Software, its principles, and licenses
• Familiar with IS/IT. Knowledge in how to configure, install, maintain, and update the hardware, operation systems, software, and network interfaces to be able to coordinate activities with Ericssons IS/IT organization
• Familiar with Ericsson BCSS R&D Release Process, Tools, and Environments.
