Job summary

Ericsson in Łódź, Poland (Hybrid – 3 days/week in-office) is seeking a software professional to design, develop, and optimize radio software applications using C++ and Java-based test frameworks within agile practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software for Radio Units.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field, 2+ years in object-oriented C++, Linux familiarity, and knowledge of CI/CD and Agile methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 2+ years of object-oriented C++ experience.
• Experience with Linux-based development environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Agile, and testing is a plus.
• Understanding of 4G/5G wireless tech (3GPP) is desirable.
• Knowledge of radio software development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and test software solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Develop C++ applications and Java-based test framework as part of the radio software.
• Participate in system design, development, and testing of Radio Units.
• Coordinate with software and hardware teams on embedded development.
• Contribute to end-to-end development activities.

About this opportunity:

Location Łódź, Poland (Hybrid – 3 days/week in-office)

Upon joining you will become part of a multi-functional team responsible for tasks ranging from initial studies to customer acceptance testing of new radio functionality.

Your role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing software solutions, particularly focusing on radio software applications using C++ and Java-based test frameworks within agile development practices.

What will you do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and test software solutions.
• Develop software application primarily using C++, alongside Java-based test framework development.
• Participate in system design, software development, and comprehensive testing of Radio Units.
• Tackle complex technological challenges alongside experienced colleagues.
• Contribute to end-to-end embedded development activities, closely coordinating with both software and hardware teams.

The skills you bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Communication, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience with object-oriented C++ programming.
• Good understanding of Linux-based development environments.
• Familiarity with essential software development tools including version control systems, build systems, and scripting languages.
• Familiarity with 4G/5G wireless communications, especially 3GPP specifications.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD processes.
• Awareness of agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience in testing would be an advantage (However, testing is not the primary focus of this role, and this is not a tester position.)
