Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a well established international manufacturing organization to build a centralized payroll function and shape a new HR Shared Service Center. The role supports payroll across multiple countries, ensuring compliance and timely execution within a dynamic, global environment.

The successful candidate will lead harmonization efforts, manage external payroll provider relationships, and drive continuous improvements across HR systems and processes while collaborating

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in payroll, HR operations, or related area.
  • Experience in international, multi-country environments.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and payroll legislation.
  • Experience managing relationships with external payroll providers.
  • Proven track record in process improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent stakeholder management and communication; fluent English.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate payroll operations across multiple countries and support local payroll experts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll execution with external providers.
  • Monitor compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Lead payroll harmonization and process standardization initiatives.
  • Analyze payroll data and prepare reports for business decisions.
  • Act as main contact for external payroll vendors and manage relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects and HR systems/process enhancements.
  • Define and monitor payroll KPIs and SLAs.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and international stakeholders.
  • Support knowledge sharing and development of payroll teams across locations.

Job Description
  • Coordinate payroll operations across multiple countries and support local payroll experts.

  • Lead payroll harmonization and process standardization initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement projects and support enhancements within HR systems and processes.

The Successful Applicant
  • At least 6 years of experience in payroll, HR operations, or a related area.
  • Experience working in an international, multi country environment.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and payroll legislation.
  • Experience managing relationships with external payroll providers.
  • Proven track record in process improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
