Job summary

Align Technology, Inc. is offering a Payroll EMEA Intern position in Poland, joining our Payroll team for a hands-on internship supporting multiple EMEA countries.

You will learn payroll operations, work with HR and Finance, and contribute to accurate, timely payroll delivery while maintaining confidentiality. Ideal for students in Business, Finance, or Economics with strong Excel skills and English proficiency (B2).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll activities for selected EMEA countries per procedures and SLAs.
  • Review payroll input data for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Prepare and validate payroll reports and supporting documentation.
  • Support monthly payroll execution with internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and respond to inquiries.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance and other teams to ensure data accuracy.
  • Follow payroll procedures, controls and SOX requirements.
  • Contribute to payroll process improvements and documentation.
  • Handle payroll information with confidentiality and integrity.

About this opportunity

Align Technology is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll EMEA Intern to join our Payroll team. This is a full-time internship opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in an international payroll environment supporting employees across multiple EMEA countries.

As a Payroll EMEA Intern, you will support and execute payroll activities for assigned EMEA countries while learning about payroll operations, compliance requirements, and best practices. Working closely with Payroll Specialists, HR, Finance, and external payroll providers, you will develop valuable payroll expertise and contribute to the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services.

You will know you have done a great job when you contribute to delivering a high-quality payroll service, maintain a high level of accuracy, and continuously develop your payroll knowledge and skills.

In this role, you will…
  • Process assigned payroll activities for selected EMEA countries in accordance with established procedures, payroll calendars, and service level agreements.
  • Review payroll input data for accuracy and completeness and follow up on discrepancies as needed.
  • Prepare and validate payroll reports and supporting documentation.
  • Support the accurate and timely execution of monthly payrolls in cooperation with internal stakeholders and external payroll provider.
  • Manage payroll-related administrative activities and maintain employee payroll records.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and elevate complex matters when necessary.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure accurate employee and payroll data.
  • Follow established payroll procedures, controls, and compliance requirements, including SOX controls where applicable.
  • Contribute to payroll process improvements, documentation updates, and special projects.
  • Ensure payroll information is handled with a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
In this role, you'll need…
  • University student or recent graduate, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills (minimum B2 level).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with data.
  • Positive, proactive, and eager-to-learn attitude.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Previous administrative experience would be an advantage but is not required.
