Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a dedicated EMEA Payroll Analyst within the Global Business Services. The role focuses on payroll administration, audits, and supporting best practices across payroll processes in a hybrid model.

You will compile, analyze, and document payroll issues, respond to inquiries, and assist with internal and external audits while participating in special projects. This is a pivotal payroll operations position in a large multinational team.

Qualifications

  • Experience in payroll operations supporting EMEA markets is required.
  • Bilingual with English proficiency and strong data handling.
  • Knowledge of Workday HR and Safeguard Payroll is required; experience with EIB is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of payrolls across the EMEA region.
  • Act as the primary contact for the outsourced payroll service provider and coordinate to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll calendars and local requirements across EMEA.
  • Resolve payroll inquiries from employees and stakeholders, manage case tickets.
  • Analyze payroll issues to identify systemic problems and support process improvements.
  • Prepare payroll reports and support internal audits; collaborate with Legal, Finance, and HR.

Your New Role

Join Warner Bros. Discovery as a dedicated EMEA Payroll Analyst within the Global Business Services People and Culture Shared Services Payroll Operations Department. The Payroll Operations Analyst plays a key role in payroll administration, conducting audits, and supporting best practices across payroll processes. This position involves compiling, analyzing, and documenting issues related to payroll and associated activities to identify systemic problems. The role will also be responsible for researching and responding to payroll inquiries, supporting internal audits, and preparing materials for external and internal auditors. Participation in special projects is expected.

Your Role Accountabilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of payrolls across the EMEA region.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the outsourced payroll service provider and collaborate closely to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll processing calendars and local payroll requirements across EMEA countries.
  • Resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, agencies, and other internal and external stakeholders, including management of case management tickets.
  • Compile, analyze, and document payroll and fiscal issues to identify systemic problems and support continuous process improvements.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and HR teams to ensure payroll compliance and support internal and external audits.
  • Prepare payroll reports, statistics, year-end reporting, and perform data analysis using advanced Excel functionality, including VLOOKUPs, INDEX MATCH, and pivot tables.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience in payroll operations supporting EMEA markets while managing sensitive and confidential information is required. Experience in a shared service or large multi-business-unit organization is an advantage.
  • Must be bilingual with English language proficiency.
  • Experience with Workday HR, Safeguard Payroll, or other SaaS payroll tools is required. Experience with payroll integrations and mass data loads (EIB) is preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of payroll and compensation practices, including salary, benefits, taxes, and statutory requirements across EMEA countries. Experience in process management, continuous improvement, and process re-engineering.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience managing high-volume payroll activities in a fast-paced environment.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
