Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Revenue Accountant to support the EMEA Networks business. The role reports to the Senior Revenue Accounting Manager and focuses on revenue recognition, IFRS/US GAAP compliance, and process improvements in a global media environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting within an international environment, with emphasis on revenue recognition.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP with focus on revenue recognition.
• Experience using enterprise systems, SAP experience preferred.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• High integrity and collaborative approach across a global organisation.

Responsibilities

• Analyse contracts and provide guidance to determine proper revenue recognition in line with regulations and company policies.
• Prepare monthly revenue accrual calculations, entries to the general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Propose improvements and automation of daily/monthly revenue accounting tasks; support SOX and internal controls.
• Prepare periodical management reports, BS Flux and SEC schedules and ad hoc analyses.
• Initiate cross‑department meetings, prepare agendas, track actions and escalate issues.
• Perform special or routine projects and ad hoc analyses.

Your New Role

Join the Warner Bros. Discovery Revenue Accounting team as a key contributor supporting the EMEA Networks business. Reporting to the Senior Revenue Accounting Manager, you will help ensure accurate revenue recognition, maintain compliance with IFRS and US GAAP, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen financial controllership across the region.

Your Role Accountabilities

• Analyse contracts and provide guidance to determine proper revenue recognition in line with regulations and company policies.
• Prepare monthly revenue accrual calculations, entries to the general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Propose improvements and automation of daily/monthly standard tasks in revenue accounting processes and workflows.Assist in internal and external audit work (SOX testing, maintenance and updating of internal controls, Financial Compliance processes).
• Prepare periodical management reports, BS Flux and SEC schedules including applicable regular revenue-related analyses and metrics as well as ad hoc reporting.
• Initiate cross-department meetings, prepare agendas, document and track action items. Escalate issues as appropriate.
• Perform special or routine projects, generate ad hoc analysis or duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrable accounting experience in an international environment with exposure to revenue recognition; BIG4 experience is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP, with a focus on revenue recognition standards.
• Experience using enterprise information systems, with SAP experience strongly preferred.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• High integrity and a collaborative approach, with the ability to build effective working relationships across a global organisation and adapt within a fast-paced environment.
