Job summary

Avon is seeking a Packaging Engineer to own gifting and packaging development from concept to launch, coordinating across global teams to ensure packaging solutions are production-ready, compliant, and consumer-focused.

You will lead end-to-end packaging for giftable products, manage timelines and risks, coordinate artwork and BOMs, and collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory and Manufacturing to deliver innovative packaging that enhances the Avon brand and customer

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging development within cosmetics, pharma, or consumer goods.
• Degree in Packaging Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, suppliers and development processes.
• Excellent organisation and project management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Leading end-to-end development of packaging for giftable products and gift sets, from initial concept to commercial launch.
• Managing project governance, timelines, and risk to ensure smooth delivery across all stages of packaging development and NPI.
• Coordinating component and artwork development, including approvals, supplier alignment, and colour standards.
• Creating and maintaining specifications, data, and Bills of Materials to support production and supply chain systems.
• Supporting pilot runs, line trials, and validation to ensure production readiness and technical compliance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, Marketing, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing.
• Identifying opportunities to improve packaging innovation by staying up to date with new technologies and industry trends.

What you’ll be doing: In this role, you’ll take ownership of bringing innovative gifting and packaging ideas to life, managing the full journey from concept through to launch. You’ll combine technical expertise with strong project coordination to ensure packaging solutions are not only creative and consumer-focused but also practical, compliant, and ready for production. Working across global teams, you’ll play an important role in ensuring timelines are met, risks are managed, and all processes are aligned to deliver high-quality packaging that enhances the Avon brand and customer experience.
