Overview of the Role
As an Oracle Fusion Functional Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering robust Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials solutions to our global clients. This position is instrumental in bridging business requirements with technological solutions, ensuring successful implementation, support, and optimization of Oracle ERP Financials. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency and scalability of client business operations, supporting HCLTech’s mission to provide best-in-class digital transformation services.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in end-to-end Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials implementations, serving as the functional expert and key point of contact for clients.
- Configure and customize Oracle Fusion Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Expenses, Tax, Intercompany) to meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Provide ongoing support for Oracle Fusion Financials, managing service tickets and adhering to defined SLAs.
- Design and optimize enterprise structures, including ledgers, legal entities, business units, chart of accounts (COA), and reporting hierarchies.
- Implement and maintain subledger accounting (SLA), accounting hubs, and manage multi-currency, multi-ledger, and multi-organization setups.
- Oversee period-close processes, consolidations, and the generation of statutory and management financial reports.
- Develop and execute data conversion strategies using tools such as FBDI, ADFdi, and HDL for bulk data loads.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards using OTBI, BIP, FRS, and Smart View.
- Integrate Oracle Fusion Financials with other systems using REST/SOAP web services and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Configure workflow approvals (AAF/BPM Worklist) and manage page personalization/sandbox environments.
- Enforce security best practices including roles, duty roles, data access sets, and segregation of duties.
- Provide expertise in key business cycles such as Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C).
- Ensure compliance with tax frameworks (US Sales Tax, VAT, GST) and support audit requirements.
- Contribute to global rollouts, localizations, and multi-country project deployments.
Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of overall experience in Oracle ERP, with at least 4 years specializing in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.
- Proven track record as a functional lead or senior consultant on at least one full-cycle Oracle Fusion Financials implementation.
- Deep expertise in configuring a minimum of four Oracle Fusion Financials modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Expenses, Tax, or Intercompany.
- Strong understanding of subledger accounting, accounting hubs, and multi-entity setups.
- Proficiency with Oracle data tools (FBDI, ADFdi, HDL) and reporting tools (OTBI, BIP, FRS, Smart View).
- Experience with integration technologies (REST/SOAP web services, OIC).
- Knowledge of workflow configuration, security model, and audit/compliance processes.
- Solid foundation in finance and accounting principles, period closing, and reporting.
Other Requirements (Optional)
- Experience with Oracle EBS R12 and cross-functional migration to Fusion Cloud is a plus.
- Exposure to global rollouts, localization, and multi-country deployments.
- Familiarity with tax compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
- Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Financials Certification) are advantageous.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
