Job summary
Yukon Group, a pioneer in civil thermal imaging, invites an experienced Optical Design Engineer to join our R&D team in Białystok, Poland. Develop advanced optical and opto-mechanical systems from concept to production, collaborating across disciplines.
Requirements include hands-on Zemax OpticStudio expertise, strong geometric and wave optics knowledge, CAD experience, and familiarity with ISO/MIL standards. We offer an international team, a competitive PLN salary, and performance bonuses.
Qualifications
- Experience with optical and opto-mechanical system design.
- Strong knowledge of geometric and wave optics.
- Ability to perform optical analysis (MTF, PSF, spot diagrams).
- Proficiency with CAD tools for drawing and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimise optical systems (imaging, illumination, beam shaping).
- Develop and analyse aspheric components, considering manufacturability.
- Perform optical simulations and analysis to ensure system performance.
- Conduct tolerancing and sensitivity analysis.
- Collaborate on testing of electro-optical systems and components.
- Work with various light sources (LEDs, lasers, lamps).
- Prepare technical drawings according to international standards.
- Maintain and update optical components database.
