Brown Brothers Harriman in Kraków is seeking an Operations Supervisor for Central Pricing within our Fund Accounting team. The role oversees NAV package preparation, verification of transactions, and complex calculations, while guiding staff and ensuring process integrity.

The position offers a hybrid work model (3 days in the office / 2 days for a parent of a child up to 4 years) and opportunities for professional development within a premier global financial services firm.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in business-related field.
• 3+ years in fund accounting or related financial services.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and approve NAV packages for funds.
• Reconcile transaction details from the general ledger to supporting documentation.
• Solve complex problems including IRR, management fee and waterfall calculations.
• Support year-end fund financial statement audits, regulatory reporting and tax preparation.
• Prepare and review investor capital calls and distributions.
• Aid in updating policies, procedures and internal controls; implement new tools and guides.
• Provide coaching and training to staff and participate in performance reviews.
• Coordinate new business and product implementations and conversions.

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Operations Supervisor Central Pricing to join our Fund Accounting Team. In this role you will be responsible for effective direction and supervision of specialized processing, exception resolution, and reconciliation activities for a team. As a supervisor you will manage client account activity in business line's net asset value (NAV) components, you will be ensuring department procedures are followed and standards of quality and control are met. The supervisor also provides staff training, constructive feedback, and is a point of escalation to address complex issues.

Responsibilities

In our team, you will be responsible for

• Prepare, review and approve monthly and quarterly NAV packages and allocations for funds investing in equity, fixed income, fund-of-PE-funds, fund-of-hedge-funds, private debt, syndicated debt, private equity, real estate funds, OTC and various other financial instruments
• Reconcile transaction details and balances from the general ledger to third party supporting documentation including, underlying fund investment capital statements, private loan documents, prime brokerage statements, Markit WSO reporting, and client’s supplemental reporting
• Work with clients to solve complex problems, including but not limited to equalization, IRR calculations, management fee calculations, and waterfall/carry calculations
• Assist in providing support towards year-end fund financial statement audit, regulatory reporting and tax preparation services
• Prepare and review investor capital call and distributions
• Aid in enhancing and enacting new policies, procedures and internal controls, including implementation of new technology tools and updates to associated procedural guides
• Oversee and ensure training and cross training of employees on relevant job functions to develop breadth and depth of knowledge
• Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff to improve individual performance, including BBH’s annual performance review process
• Assist in implementing the coordination of new business and product implementations and conversions

What We’re Looking For

• BA/BS degree in a business-related field
• 3+ years of Alternatives Fund Accounting, Global Custody, and/or Transfer Agency preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred but not required
• Detailed knowledge in one or more of the following alternatives industry segments: Hedge Funds, Public/Private Debt Funds, Private Equity, or Real Estate Funds
• Highly proficient with Excel
