Job summary

Frontiers in Warsaw is seeking a Peer Review Specialist to support the open science publishing process, collaborating with authors, editors and reviewers to ensure timely, rigorous manuscript evaluation across journals. You will guide submissions through our online system and uphold high standards.

The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, cross-cultural teamwork, and adapting to AI-powered tools while maintaining transparent, fair review practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in a role where exceptional customer service (internal and client) has been key.
• Evidence of working with high volumes.
• Highly organized and able to regularly reprioritize.
• A team player with cross-cultural collaboration experience.
• Ability to solve problems and improve processes.
• Willingness to embrace AI and new tools in a project environment.
• Exceptional English language skills (spoken and written).
• Passion about Open Science and learning about Frontiers' mission.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and guide articles through the peer review process using our online system.
• Communicate with editors and reviewers to keep the process moving and resolve issues.
• Check quality and ensure the review process is fair and follows standards.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve workflows and efficiency.
• Aim to meet individual and team goals while raising the bar for performance.
