Job summary

Frontiers is seeking a Copyediting Specialist to join our open-access academic publishing team. You will copyedit STM/HSS journal articles for clarity, accuracy and structure, maintaining an academic tone while preserving the author's voice.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, excellent English, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. You will collaborate across the Production team and report to the Copyediting Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of copyediting STM/HSS academic journals.
• Excellent written and spoken English with editorial eye.
• Detail-oriented with emphasis on consistency and precision.
• Proficient with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat and web-based platforms; familiarity with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Copyedit STM/HSS journal articles for clarity, accuracy and structure.
• Ensure articles maintain professional, academic tone while preserving author voice.
• Check text for readability and adherence to house style.
