Job summary

Alstom in Katowice, Poland, is seeking a Service System Engineering Manager to lead a team of highly skilled system engineers responsible for delivering reliable and secure services and infrastructure.

The role combines people leadership, operational excellence, and technical oversight to ensure ongoing operation and continuous improvement of critical services, collaborating with PM, QA, and Customer Support teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure or IT operations.
• Minimum 3 years of people management experience, including leading, coaching, and developing team members.
• Experience managing complex technical incidents and operational escalations.
• Fluency in Polish is a must, English – min. B2.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Service System Engineers.
• Drive team performance through coaching, goal setting, and regular feedback.
• Manage resource planning, workload prioritization, and capacity management.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of supported services and platforms.
• Oversee incident response, problem management, and service restoration activities.
