Job summary

TechTree's client is hiring a Data Center Technician (Associate) for a long-term infrastructure programme in Warsaw, Poland. The role focuses on rack & stack, structured cabling, hardware troubleshooting, asset management and physical data center operations.

Responsibilities include server decommissioning, inventory management, RMA processes, and coordinating on-site contractors. On-site work with EU clearance is required; compensation is €100,000-€120,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT experience.
• 2+ years in physical data center operations.
• Hands-on rack & stack and cabling experience.
• Knowledge of server, network, PDU and data center infrastructure.
• English at B2+ level.
• Willingness to obtain EU CONFIDENTIEL security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install and decommission servers, switches, and other data center equipment.
• Perform rack & stack activities and maintain rack layouts.
• Manage structured cabling, patching and labelling.
• Troubleshoot physical server and network hardware.
• Maintain hardware inventory and asset records.
• Receive equipment and manage the hardware lifecycle.
• Support maintenance and RMA processes.
• Conduct inventory audits and capacity checks.
• Prepare and execute infrastructure changes.
• Maintain data center documentation and maintenance records.
• Coordinate third-party contractors on-site
