Virtus Lab Sp. z o.o. is looking for a Senior Engineer to maintain, scale, and optimize on-premise infrastructure for a major investment bank. You will manage essential developer tools such as Jenkins and Bitbucket, ensuring their reliability for a large user base.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience in system administration or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong background in Linux administration and networking concepts.
• Hands-on experience managing and optimisation of on-premise developer tools.
• Proficiency in Bash and Python; basic PowerShell knowledge is an asset.
• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solving system performance problems at scale.
• Readiness to support a multi-platform environment primarily Linux, with secondary support for Windows and macOS.
• English skills at B2/C1 level.

About the role

You will join our team to maintain, scale, and optimise our core on‑premise infrastructure for a major investment bank. Your main goal will be to take ownership of essential developer tools and services including Jenkins, Bitbucket, and BuildBarn, ensuring their highest reliability for on‑prem installations for a user base of over 10,000 developers. The environment is largely Linux‑based, but supports Windows and macOS as well. As a Senior Engineer you will also lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex performance bottlenecks across this large‑scale infrastructure.
