Job summary

Semco Maritime is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in HVAC design to develop ventilation, cooling and pressurization systems for offshore substations. You will work within our Renewables division, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust HVAC solutions across EPCI projects.

You will contribute from concept through detail design, procurement support and commissioning, while maintaining a strong safety culture and adhering to HSE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or other relevant discipline.
• Experience with HVAC engineering and design on industrial, marine, energy or offshore projects.
• Knowledge of ventilation, cooling, refrigeration, heating and pressurization systems (DX and water-based).
• Experience with technical documentation and coordination in multidisciplinary EPC projects; offshore substation experience is a strong advantage.
• Professional English communication and strong teamwork, quality and safety.
• Strong focus on quality and safety with adherence to HSE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design ventilation, cooling, heating and pressurization systems, including calculations and equipment sizing.
• Develop HVAC philosophies, specifications, diagrams and requisitions.
• Ensure compliance with standards, codes, and regulatory requirements; support HSE guidelines.
• Specify HVAC equipment and support procurement, bid evaluation and vendor follow-up.
• Coordinate interfaces with electrical, structural, piping, fire protection and control systems; participate in reviews.
• Support fabrication, testing and commissioning activities including FATs/SATs and site support.
