Job summary

Brenntag in Łódź, Poland, is seeking an Analyst Cash Application to strengthen our financial processes. You will review and reconcile payments daily, prepare AR reconciliations for customers and internal requests, and collaborate with the collections team to resolve discrepancies.

This role operates in a transition environment with a hybrid work model (3 days in the office). You will lead with analytical thinking, ERP and MS Office proficiency, and English language skills, plus French (Level B)

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Cash Application and Accounts Receivable.
• Experience in a shared services environment.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office.
• Hands-on Cash Application experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational and analytical skills.
• Experience in transition or migration projects is a strong asset.
• Accounting experience is an advantage.
• Good English communication skills.

The Analyst Cash Application is responsible for reviewing and reconciling all incoming payments on a daily basis and preparing accurate, detailed, and well-organized accounts receivable reconciliations for both customer and internal requests. The role involves identifying and communicating payment discrepancies in close collaboration with the collections team and actively managing a portfolio of receivable accounts to ensure aged balances remain within defined business targets. In addition, the Analyst Cash Application prepares scheduled and ad hoc financial analysis reports, ensures adherence to agreed service levels, company policies, and procedures, and resolves operational issues independently, escalating them to the supervisor when necessary.

This role will be performed in a transition environment; experience in transition or migration projects is considered a strong asset.

Your Role

• Review and reconcile all payments received on a current and daily basis

Your Profile

• Education degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in Cash Application, Accounts Receivable
• Experience in a shared services environment
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office tools
• Mandatory hands‑on experience in Cash Application (not limited to Cash Collection or Credit Control)
• Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
• Experience in transition or migration projects is a strong asset
• Experience in accounting is considered an advantage
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• French speaking (Level B)
