Position Overview

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform entry‑level duties as assigned by the kitchen manager, including food prep, serving, cashiering, and operating a dishmachine.
• Maintain a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with all students, staff, and co‑workers.
• Attend job‑related training classes and workshops in order to meet professional standard guidelines (4 hours/year).
• Follow Department SOP and HACCP procedures.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation pursuant to the Minnesota Food Code.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion and pass of a background check and a pre‑work physical.
• Three professional reference checks.
• Working knowledge of computers, including email.
• Experience in the food service industry is preferred.

Preferences

• Pleasant disposition and ability to work well with other nutrition service employees and contacts.
• Clean appearance.
