Join our Business Operational Risk Management team in Sydney. You will have a unique opportunity to extend and apply your non-financial risk expertise to risk processes managed by Macquarie’s Global Line 2 Risk Management Group.

What role will you play?

You will play a key role in embedding the Risk Management Framework across various divisions, including Compliance, Financial Crime, Operational, and the COO function in our global Line 2 risk management function. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the risks within the Risk Management Group and understand a wide range of risk processes, advising on and challenging the effectiveness of mitigating controls, and supporting incident and issue management by identifying root causes. As a representative of the Business Operational Risk Management team, you will also partner with the Risk Management Groups divisions to ensure they clearly understand their role in relation to effective operational risk management and support them in assessing and approving significant change, ensuring the risks of the proposal have been appropriately identified and addressed, whilst facilitating and maintaining Risk and Control Self Assessments and driving live risk management practices.

What you offer

• 6+ years of experience within non-financial risk, operational risk management or a similar discipline
• Exceptional stakeholder management and clear communication
• Previous Financial Services compliance risk experience is desirable
• Tertiary education in accounting, finance or related discipline
• Strong analytical skills and ability to draw out insights
