Job summary

Techland is seeking a Writer to join the Narrative team, crafting exciting, action-driven stories for our games. From branching dialogue to environmental storytelling, you will help tell immersive tales in an interactive medium.

You will design narrative documentation, write dialogues for main quests and side content, and implement dialogues in the C-Engine. Collaboration with the quest design team is essential to delivering cohesive narratives.

Qualifications

• Native-level English proficiency required.
• Experience writing narratives for video games.
• Being a true gamer at heart is a must-have.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate across departments.
• Creativity, independence, and ability to work under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Design narrative documentation including outlines, character descriptions, and world region overviews.
• Write dialogues for main storyline, side quests, and background conversations.
• Design, implement, and develop dialogues in the proprietary C-Engine.
• Prepare and update quest documentation (pitch, dialogue, scripts, character descriptions).
• Collaborate creatively with the quest design team.
• Provide creative feedback on quest and scene creation within interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in meetings to develop quest documentation.
