Job summary

Arjo Italia S.p.A. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Poznań to drive design and development for medical beds and related systems.

You will lead mechanical architecture, develop prototypes, and ensure compliance with Arjo's development process. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, at least 5 years of mechanical experience, SolidWorks/PDM proficiency, and strong English and Polish language skills to collaborate across a cross‑functional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanics or mechanical engineering
• SolidWorks/PDM experience
• Very good English skills (min. B2)
• Fluency in Polish
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Structured, outcome‑oriented mindset
• Strong collaboration in cross‑cultural teams

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, implement and verify mechanical system requirements
• Identify and apply Design-For-X methodologies
• Perform and document risk analyses and specify risk controls
• Create and evaluate prototypes and proofs-of-concept
• Design mechanical architectures and subsystems for the product
• Develop, test and document deliverables using CAD and bench testing
• Improve existing products for cost, quality and performance
• Ensure production continuity and handle life-cycle updates
• Analyze change requests, CAPAs and claims
• Plan and execute tests to verify quality and compliance
• Design and maintain test tools and equipment
• Define requirements with standards and ensure traceability
