Job summary

Danone is seeking a Material S&OP Senior Manager to shape European material planning across Raw & Packaging Materials, aligning planning, procurement and suppliers to ensure material availability while balancing service, inventory, risk and cost.

Based in Katowice within the Danone Planning Center, you will lead S&OP/IBP processes, consolidate country views, model scenarios and drive improvements with cross-functional teams. This role offers high visibility and strategic influence across Europe.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Material Planning.
• MRP expertise and translating demand into material requirements.
• Experience leading S&OP or IBP planning processes.
• Strong understanding of supplier capacity management, constraints and risk assessment.
• Experience with scenario modelling balancing service, inventory, cost and supply risks.
• Advanced Excel skills and KPI reporting.
• Strong knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the European Material S&OP process for Raw & Packaging Materials.
• Consolidate material requirements across categories, countries and manufacturing sites into a single regional view.
• Identify supply risks, assess supplier constraints and develop mitigation scenarios to support business continuity.
• Translate complex material challenges into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Integrate material planning insights into the IBP/S&OP cycle and drive Risks & Opportunities discussions.
• Partner closely with Procurement, suppliers and cross-functional teams to improve planning collaboration and reliability.
• Monitor key planning KPIs, including forecast accuracy, inventory coverage, supplier OTIF and material availability.
• Drive continuous improvement through root-cause analysis, process optimization and planning standardization.

• Strong knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP environment.
