Job summary

Danone is seeking a Senior Project Manager/PMO for a 24-month assignment in Poland (Bieruń). You will lead governance, performance management, and decision-support across engineering projects, ensuring on-time delivery of strategic priorities and benefits.

The role offers a fixed-term contract with annual bonus, company car, laptop, mobile, and extensive cross-functional exposure within a global organization. You will report to the Project Engineering Manager and the EMEA PMO Manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in capital program governance or engineering PMO in asset-intensive industries.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical Sciences, or a related field.
• Strong capex management and executive decision-support capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project governance framework and enterprise-level performance cockpit.
• Drive monthly and quarterly performance reviews with senior leadership.
• Facilitate escalation on high-visibility or at-risk projects.
• Translate project performance data into executive insights and decision-ready materials.
• Manage annual capital planning and interdependency risk analysis.
• Own and evolve the PMO toolkit; champion digital PM solutions and dashboards.
• Provide coaching to project teams and ensure benefits tracking.

The mandate is to drive visibility, accountability, and execution discipline across all disciplines within project, ensuring the project consistently delivers on strategic priorities, financial commitments, and operational value creation.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be in charge of:

Project Governance & Performance Management

• Lead the project governance framework
• Build and operate an enterprise-level performance cockpit tracking scope, cost, schedule, risks management and benefits for the project
• Drive, monthly and quarterly performance reviews with senior leadership
• Facilitate early escalation on high-visibility or at-risk projects.

Project Insights & Decision Support

• Translate project performance data into executive insights
• Prepare decision-ready materials for investment committees
• Provide forward-looking risk and interdependency analysis
• Manage the annual capital planning cycle

Standards, Tools & Digital Enablement

• Own and evolve the PMO toolkit
• Champion digital PM solutions and dashboards
• Drive enterprise-wide adoption of common tools

Capability Building & Operating Model Excellence

• Provide coaching to project team
• Ensure vertical start-up readiness and benefits tracking

Within your role you will have a high level of exposure and wide range of connections (R&I, Marketing, Plant directors, Operations, Sourcing, Quality, Food Safety, Suppliers of industrial processes…)

About You

We are looking for an experienced PMO with experience in project management within capex or operational projects and is willing to join Engineering team in Poland (Bieruń).The following qualifications outline what we’re looking for, including both required and preferred criteria:Education & Experience:

• 5+ years in capital program governance or engineering PMO in asset-intensive industries
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical Sciences, or a related field
